Obverse: The outer ring inscription identifies the issuing body: SCIOTO VALLEY PRESBYTERY COVENANT SYNOD 1776–1976. The inner inscription, in a clean, modern serif, provides the liturgical instruction for the sacrament: THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME. Reverse: Features the iconic Burning Bush image set within a Mandorla (an almond-shaped aureole). The Mandorla is the symbol of both Mary, and the Presbyterian Church. The burning bush is flanked by a cross both above and below. Also, the Cross of Saint Andrew, symbol of the Scottish Church, is visible in the background. The Latin motto of the Scottish Presbyterian Church encircles the image: NEC TAMEN CONSUMEBATUR ("Yet it was not consumed").
