Obverse: Features the classic Irish Harp (the Cláirseach), modeled after the 14th-century "Brian Boru" harp held at Trinity College, Dublin. The inscription reads ÉIRE to the left and the date 1990 to the right. Reverse: Features a highly stylized Bird design by the Irish artist Gabriel Hayes.
