Toronto. &#34;To Keep Canadians Working&#34;  This vintage LP is a fascinating artifact of mid-century Canadian manufacturing and cinematic history. It represents the &#34;High Fidelity&#34; boom of the late 1950s, capitalizing on the massive success of the 1956 film Around the World in Eighty Days, which won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Score. Victor Young was a prolific composer who tragically passed away just after completing this score, making it a poignant final work. This set of 2022 Topps Finest &#34;Star Wars&#34; trading cards represents a modern evolution in the hobby, moving away from the traditional paper-stock cards of the 1970s and 80s into the era of &#34;Chrome&#34; technology and high-gloss collectibles. The defining characteristic of these cards is the Chromium finish, which utilizes a specific multi-layered manufacturing process: Unlike standard cards, these are printed on a thick, plastic-like substrate with a metallic foil layer. They are produced using UV-curved offset lithography. In this mechanical setup, the printing cylinders apply ink to the non-absorbent metallic surface, which is then instantly dried by high-intensity UV lamps as it passes through the press.   Many cards in this series utilize a specialized diffraction gradient on the surface cylinder. Rare French Revolutionary Twelve Deniers (One Sol) Coin from Year 4 of the Revolution (1792) with rare Royal Portrait as of King of the French (“Roi de François”). Louis XVI was King of France (“Roi de France”) from 1774 to September 1791, when the Revolutionary Council gave him the more populist and republican title of “King of the French” (“Roi de Français”).  Louis was then arrested in September 1792, and guillotined in January 1793.  This Twelve Denier coin was issued in Year 4 (1792), with the even rarer spelling “Roi de François”.  “(o”, not “a”).  The Obverse shows a bust of LOUIS XVI draped to the left, bareheaded, hair tied.  Lettering: LOUIS XVI ROI DES FRANCOIS .  (“Louis XVI King of the French”). The Reverse shows the Fasces (symbol of government) topped with a Phrygian cap (symbol of liberty and the French Revolution) between two oak branches. Lettering: LA NATION LA LOI LE ROI  12 D (“The Nation. The Law. The King. Twelve Deniers”).  The Date once is given twice: in both the Gregorian and Revolutionary Calendars.  The last digit of the date in the Gregorian Calendar (1792)  is somewhat obscured.  But the date in the French Revolutionary Calendar is legible as  “L’AN 4  DE LA LIB”. (Year Four of the Liberty). This 1932 Commemorative Cover is a remarkable artifact of Virginia&#39;s regional history, documenting the Bicentennial of the Shenandoah Valley&#39;s settlement. Mailed during the height of the Great Depression, it captures a unique transition in American transportation—linking the era of the pioneer settler with the modern age of commercial aviation. The Occasion was the Celebration of the Shenandoah Valley Bicentennial, held on September 3–5, 1932, the festival honored the arrival of the first permanent settlers in the valley (traditionally cited as Adam Miller and others around 1732). Sponsored by the Harrisonburg Chamber of Commerce, the design is rich in symbolism. The contrast of the bi-plane soaring over pioneer settlers and a cornucopia (horn of plenty) represents 200 years of progress and agricultural abundance in the region. Most chamber-sponsored cachets of this era were applied via Rubber Stamp or a small-batch Letterpress. Unlike the factory-engraved covers of the 1950s, this has a more &#34;hand-crafted&#34; local feel, often utilizing purple or blue ink to match the stamps. The cover features a high-value franking of 8 cents total, indicating it was sent as an Air Mail letter (the rate had recently increased from 5 to 8 in July 1932). The stamps include one 5 Purple Air Mail (Scott #C17): This stamp features a winged globe, symbolizing the reach of the U.S. Air Mail service, adn one 3 Purple Washington Bicentennial (Scott #708) issued as part of the massive 1932 series celebrating George Washington&#39;s 200th birthday.

Vintage 1913 Book - &#34;The Pilgrim&#39;s Progress&#34;

Black Cloth. Gold Gilt Lettering.  Full Title: &#34;The World of Ice, or, The Whaling Cruise of &#34;The Dolphin&#34; and the Adventures of her Crew in the Polar Regions&#34; by R. M. Ballantyne, London: Ward, Lock & Co., undates, but first published in 1860.  A classic adventure that plunges readers into the thrilling world of whaling in the icy Arctic. This fiction sea story captures the spirit of adventure and the perils faced by those who dared to challenge the frozen north. Ballantyne meticulously details the crew&#39;s encounters with towering icebergs, polar bears, and the indigenous Inuit people, while focusing heavily on the technical aspects of Victorian-era exploration, such as the use of sledges and the constant battle against scurvy and extreme cold. The author was actually Susan Warner, (1819-1895), a noted antebellum American writer, who wrote under the pseudonym of Elizabeth Wetherell.   This book was first published in 1850; this copy was published shortly afterwards.  205 pp.  Fine original Cover.

Green cloth with black titles and decorations. by William Briggs, Toronto, 1916. 195 pp.    First edition, published in Canada, of this collection of over 50 poems based on Robert Service&#39;s own personal experiences on the Western Front in WW I. Tragic Double Inscription: First &#34;to H.C.B. from P.A.B. Xmas 1916&#34;, followed by annotation about &#34;H.C.B.&#34;: &#34;Killed Sept. 18, 1918&#34; (three weeks before Armistice).

1939 Belgium 10 Centimes Coin

Obverse: Features the Monogram of Leopold III, with double &#34;L&#34;s balanced around central hole, with date 1939 below.  
Reverse: Features the Coats of arms of Antwerp (left), Namur (middle) and Hasselt (right) surrounded by bilingual legends. Value &#34;10c&#34; and designer O.JESPERS below. Lettering: BELGIE-BELGIQUE (&#34;Belgium&#34; in Flemish and French).
The 1939 Belgium 10 centimes is a fascinating &#34;bridge&#34; issue. While the 1940s coins were struck in zinc due to the German occupation, the 1939 edition was produced just before the invasion and was struck in cupro-nickel. This gives the coin a much brighter, silvery appearance compared to the dull, grey wartime issues. This was the final year of peace for Belgium before WWII.  This coin features a distinctive &#34;holed&#34; design, a practical choice used in Belgium for many years to help people distinguish small denominations from larger ones by touch.
 Because it is made of cupro-nickel, this coin survived the war much better than the zinc coins that followed. It represents the standard currency of the &#34;interwar&#34; period.
