Obverse: Features the State Emblem of the USSR as it appeared in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The emblem includes the hammer and sickle over the globe, surrounded by 16 bundles of wheat wrapped in ribbons. These 16 ribbons represent the 16 constituent republics of the USSR at that time (including the Karelo-Finnish SSR, which was later demoted). The abbreviation CCCP (SSSR) is inscribed below. Reverse: Features the large numeral 3 in the center, with the word КОПЕЕКИ (Kopecks) below it. The date 1952 is inscribed at the bottom. The denomination is framed by a wreath of wheat ears tied with a ribbon at the base. The 1952 USSR 3 Kopecks is a fascinating historical artifact from the final years of the Stalin era. Struck in aluminum bronze, this coin features the "16-ribbon" State Emblem, which marks it as distinct from the later Soviet coinage produced after the political reorganization of the Soviet republics in 1956. This coin was minted during the height of the post-war reconstruction period in the Soviet Union. Coins from this era, particularly the aluminum-bronze issues, are highly prized by collectors for their rich, golden color and their historical association with the pre-Khrushchev "Thaw" era. Because this coin features the 16-ribbon emblem (which was reduced to 15 in 1956), it serves as a clear historical marker of the Union's composition at that time. Dimensions: Aluminum-Bronze. 22 mm. 3 g. Pickup category timeslot {A}
