Obverse: Features the Coat of Arms of Jamaica, which dates back to 1661. The Shield features a red cross on a white field, with five golden pineapples (representing the indigenous flora). Reverse: Features the Red-billed Streamertail (Trochilus polytmus), also known as the "Doctor Bird." This is the national bird of Jamaica, found only on the island.
