Ward of Coventry, it captures Warwick Castle during a period when it was transitioning from a private ancestral seat to a premier "Heritage Destination." The Publisher was J.J. Ward, Coventry, a notable photographer and naturalist based in the Midlands. His "Special Photo-Art" series was known for its "Fine Art" approach to topographical views.
