Wash Tubbs Quarterly #5: Fall 1931 Dailies (Dragon Lady Press, November 1987), published by Dragon Lady Press for 5.95 USD, is a 60-page softcover comic collection featuring cover artwork depicting Wash Tubbs and Captain Easy written, penciled, and inked by Roy Crane with color separations by Murphy Anderson Visual Concepts. Edited by publisher John Biernat, this volume features a 50-page Wash Tubbs adventure-humor comic story created entirely by pioneering cartoonist Roy Crane (script, pencils, and inks), reprinting classic original daily newspaper strips published from July 4, 1931 to January 9, 1932. Classic Adventure Strips #12: Rip Kirby (Dragon Lady Press, August 1987), published by Dragon Lady Press for 3.50 CAD / 2.95 USD, is a historical 60-page softcover anthology comic featuring cover art depicting Rip Kirby and Desmond, signed and illustrated by Alex Raymond with color separations by Murphy Anderson Visual Concepts. Edited by publisher John Biernat, this issue collects the final storyline run created by legendary artist Alex Raymond prior to his death in 1956, featuring three complete Rip Kirby detective-adventure daily newspaper strip arcs: "[The Mangler (in Africa)]" (20 pages, reprinting King Features Syndicate dailies from February 20 to May 19, 1956), "The Return of Honey Dorian" (15 pages, reprinting dailies from May 21 to July 28, 1956), and "The Elixir of Youth" (18 pages, reprinting dailies from July 30 to October 20, 1956), notable for containing Raymond's final work on pages 1–14 before artist John Prentice completed the story following Raymond's tragic automobile accident.
