Circa 1944 portrait of a small boy named ‘Phillip’ by famous Canadian / British born photographer Violet Keene Perinchief. Personally signed by the artist. Original ROBERT HUBBARD ( framer to the Group of Seven) frame. There is damage to the photograph ( scratches and Scuffs) a puncture to the mat and light damage to the frame with the original glass missing. (SEE PHOTOS.) Violet Keene was born in 1893 in Bath Somerset England. Her mother was well known photographer Minna Keene. They moved to Canada with their family and set up photo studios in Montreal and Toronto. Violet photographed many famous luminaries such as Amelia Earhart , George Bernard Shaw, W.B. Yeats and Aldous Huxley.
