Vintage "Japanese Porcelain Ware" Vase • decorated by A.C.F. (Associated Ceramic Factory) or Yuet Tung China Works in Hong Kong. • The Hong Kong company would import "blanks" or plain white porcelain pieces from Japan and have them hand-painted by skilled artisans in enamelling workshops in Hong Kong. • The design style is known as Famille Rose or Canton Style. The vase in entirely hand painted. The enamels -fine grit glass are mixed with metal oxides for colour. The pink color is particularly famous because it was historically derived from colloidal gold. • This vase is mold form with very thin porcelain walls, note how the light makes it translucent. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips.
