The hands rest in the lap, signifying concentration, inner balance, and spiritual perfection. • Posture: He is seated in the Padmasana, or full lotus position, which represents stability and serenity. • The Lotus Throne (Padmasana). The curved, petal-like carvings directly beneath the Buddha represent a blooming lotus flower. • Spiritual Purity: Just as a lotus grows in muddy water but blooms pristine on the surface, it symbolizes the soul rising above the "mud" of worldly suffering and attachment to achieve enlightenment.
