Vintage Cast Brass Nepalese Musicians or "Guru" Statues 1) "Flag Figure" Padmasambhava Guru Rinpoche: This figure is referred to as the "Second Buddha," identified by his characteristic cap and the vulture-feather trident (khatvanga) or staff he holds. He is the Nyingma of Tibetan Buddhism. 2) Two Musician Figures: These figures are commonly categorized as Nepalese musicians. They are shown seated and playing musical instruments; the figure on the far right specifically holds a lute (pipa or biwa), and the other holds a stringed instrument. • Each of these is cast brass with either sand-casted or lost-wax casted. • You can see the interior "seam line" which means they were made between 1970 and 2000. • All in excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips.
