Northern Lights Cloisonné Collection by Oscardo • Northern Lights Cloisonné Collection by Oscardo, a Toronto company specializing in gifts featuring Indigenous art. • This piece was designed by Dawn Oman. She is of Métis, Chipewyan (Denesuline), and Yellowknives Dene descent, as well as Welsh heritage. • She is a direct descendant of Chief Snuff of the Yellowknives, who was a signer of Treaty 8 with the Canadian government in 1899-1900. • There are stylized yellow and blue tipis, and Northern Lights in the sky. • These are hand painted and crafted, copying the cloisonné idea, but not the actual metal and enamel. There is copper wire, but acrylic and resin make up the colour and shine. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips.
