MCM German Enamelled Dish • The technique used is called vitreous enamelling on copper. The process involves fusing powdered glass to a metal base at extremely high temperatures, typically between 1400F and 1650F. • This vintage enamelled copper dish originates from Germany. • These pieces were popular during the Mid-Century Modern era, and often feature abstract, swirling "marbled" enamel designs on a copper base. • This is an abstract hand-painted, or swirled enamelled patterns in various colours yellows, various greens, oranges, and reds on a cream coloured background. • The back has a light blue/grey solid enamelled coating. • Because of the choice of colours this piece dates between 1950's and the 1960'S. • In excellent condition, no breaks, or chips.
