Vintage "Blue Safi" Moroccan Ceramic Bowl • This bowl is made from local red clay and features intricate, hand-painted geometric or floral designs, often referred to as "mandala" patterns. • This is very low fired, cone 1 or 2, and has a lead based glaze, and is not meant for serving food, but decor only. • The intricate hand-painted patterns with traditional Moroccan patterns in cobalt blue, green, and black, often with a central floral or geometric detailing motif. • Because of the physical characteristics on the base of the bowl, it was made between the 1970's and the 1990's. • Many of the utilitarian wear or smaller decorative pieces were left blank, but were still made in the city of Safi. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips.
