Vintage Delft-Style Ceramic Bowl • These types of bowls were made for the "workers" not the "high end society folks". But each was hand painted with traditional designs common to the people. • This is a type of pottery traditionally characterized by its hand-painted blue- on-cream (or white) designs. • The bowl features classic Dutch imagery, including sailboats and often a companion windmill scene, finished with a distinctive blue rim band. • This style of bowl are dated to the 1960'S. • The majority of these mid-century vintage bowls were produced by Dutch commercial potteries such as G.V.M. or O.T.S.
