Small Chalet Art Glass "Miniature" Bomboniere Basket • In the mid-century era, these small items were mass-produced by Chalet Glass specifically to be used as party favours or wedding "thank you" gifts. • This is officially known as a Whimsy Basket. They were hand-blown and hand-pulled with "split handles" • The "diamond pattern" on the base is a classic Chalet design, and was made between 1962 and 1975. • Maestro Sergio Pagnin the company founder and chemist would hand-mix the ingredients for the next day's production, so there were always slight variations.
