Sue Taylor "Lavendar" Serving Platter • Sue Taylor was a founding member of the Potters Place in Courtenay, BC. • Taylor has been making pots for over 40 years. She learned her craft in the U.K. as she was accepted into 2nd year ceramics at the Univ. of Western England, for 1986 to 87. under the tutelage of internationally known ceramist Walter Keeler. • She continued studies here at North Island College. • While in the U.K., Sue was part of a joint show at the Victoria and Albert Museum. • This platter is a white stoneware clay, decorated with ginkgo leaf like designs which was created in an overspray pattern with lavender, pinks, and violet underglazes. • Fired to cone 10 in a gas kiln. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips.
