Lisa Samphire - Blown Glass Pitcher • Lisa Samphire is a prominent Canadian glass artist based in Victoria, British Columbia, known for a career spanning over 35 years, and has a bachelor of Fine Arts Univ. of Victoria (1990). • Extensive specialized coursework at the Pilchuck Glass School, and the Corning Museum of Glass in New York. • In 2008, the Federal Government of Canada acquired four of her pieces for its Visual Arts Collection. • She represented Canada at the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea in 2009. • The pitcher features a hand-blown olive green, slightly rectangular body with a subtle, "collapsed" or hand-stretched quality that gives it an organic, non- uniform silhouette, and an applied clear glass handle. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, chips or bruises.
