Lot #81: Two Vintage & Original Psychedelic Bill Graham Series, Fillmore Era, Rock Concert Posters, BG-46, Butterfield Blues Band; BG-147, It's a Beautiful Day

Here is a lot of two vintage and original psychedelic rock concert posters from the Fillmore Era. Here is what you get: BG-46-OP-1--[Untitled]. Number 46 in the Bill Graham series (poster is approximately 14.75" x 22") from a concert performed by Paul Butterfiled Blues Band and The Charles Lloyd Quartet at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco on 1/20-22/1967. This poster was created by famed rock poster artist, Wes Wilson (1937-2020), who was one of the Big Five rock poster artists and is widely considered to be the Godfather of the psychedelic rock poster movement. This is an original FIRST PRINT poster, (according to the guidelines of Eric King's famous reference book) and is in near mint condition. BG-147-OP-1--[Abba-Zaba]. Number 147 in the Bill Graham series (poster is approximately 14" x 21.75") from a concert performed by It's a Beautiful Day, Deep Purple, and Cold Blood held at The Fillmore West in San Francisco on 10/28-12/1/1968. The poster was a collaboration between famed rock poster artists Alton Kelley (1940-2008) and Rick Griffin (1944-1991) both of whom are members of the Big Five rock poster artists. The poster was printed by the famous Tea Lautrec Litho in San Francisco. This is an original FIRST PRINT poster, printed only once (according to the guidelines of Eric King's famous reference book) and is in NEAR MINT condition. These posters have been stored flat for decades and are both in near mint condition. They would frame up beautifully. They are getting hard to find in this condition. Located upstairs.
