22 book lot of classic literature. This lot consists of small groupings of authors, including Maugham, Forster, Styron, Lawrence, Russian (Tolstoy, Chekhov, Solzhenitsyn). There are just enough here of each author (or country) to do a paper on "compare and contrast the author's works". Or to hand a couple to friends and have a mini-book club. Or just to enjoy your favorite new author... ----- All proceeds benefit charity! Books in Hand is a California based Federal 501 c3 literacy focused nonprofit, that works to get books off the shelves of the ex-user, and put them in the hands of the end user. We keep books out of the landfill, move them along to folks who want them, and give all profits to local schools. ----- The books you see are the exact books you will get. They are a mix of new-ish and vintage. Most are in generally good condition. A couple have been well-loved. Assume that there are owner markings or prices to the first page or two. There might be one or two ex-library. The older books are...older. The dustjackets are probably fragile with edgewear and tears, the pages might be tanned, there might be corner bumping or spine fading, and maybe foxing (little brown dust-spots) to the edges. There might be minor stains, or minor dog-ears. There is NOT any significant mildew odor, no major staining, and no major binding failure. (Please check the books at pickup. If any significant damage is found, it is highly likely that it can be replaced with a substantially similar book before you leave.) Pickup category timeslot {A}
