Lot #57: Vintage 4-Piece Ornate Silver-Plated Tea & Coffee Service

During the clean out of an estate sale, I found in the dining room a Vintage 4-Piece Ornate Silver-Plated Tea & Coffee Service. This beautiful, highly decorative four-piece service featuring classic Victorian revival styling. Each piece is elevated on ornate "claw and leaf" scrolled feet (except for the pedestal-style pot) and finished with intricate floral-cast handles and decorative finials. I am not an appraiser or collector, but with some research I was able to determine that the lot consists of - • Tall Coffee Pot: Features a hinged lid with a decorative finial and elegant gooseneck spout. • Teapot: A rounded, "squat" body design with matching floral accents and insulated handle spacers. • Lidded Chocolate/Hot Water Pot: Pedestal-base design with a distinctive rope-twist border and acorn finial. • Large Water Pitcher: An open-top vessel with deep vertical fluting and a heavy, ornate scrolled handle. The era appears to be early to mid-20th century. The condition of the lot is that the Patina: All pieces show significant natural tarnish/oxidation consistent with age. This can be polished to a high shine or left as-is for a "shabby chic" or antique aesthetic. Surface: No major dents or deep gouges visible. Some minor surface wear and "pitting" typical of vintage silver plate. Hardware: Hinges are intact and functional. Handle spacers on the pots appear secure.
