This Birks silverware pattern is in the traditional English revival style and each piece is monogrammed with a stylistic M. All pieces are stamped “BIRKS STERLING” consistent with Birks production in the early-mid 20th century (1930-1940s). 

This pattern is substantial and has a great hand feel. 

Can be paired with another lot of the matching sterling silverware (dessert, specialty and serving pieces) also in this auction. 

This sterling flatware collection was assembled by a single owner over roughly a decade in the 1970s. Each place setting was intentionally built to maintain a consistent, matched service—resulting in a cohesive and well-balanced dining set.

Dinner knives are 10” long, have hollow handle and stainless steel blade and weight of 8 is 687.7 grams.
Smaller knives have the same construction but are 9” long and total weight of 8 is 573.3 grams.
Dinner forks are 8” long, total weight of 8 is 537.2 grams.

Elegant 3 drawer sideboard is a Sheraton-Regency style of British origin circa 1820. Mahogany with burled banding on top surface and in front details. Original brass lion drawer pulls. Velvet drawer linings are in good used condition. Some minor repairs were made to drawer runners and burled banding on top. Surface scratches as seen in photos.

Mid-Century Italian Sterling Silver Greek Key Bracelet 

A Victorian-era sterling silver Albert watch chain paired with a fully hallmarked wax seal fob. 

The finely detailed wax seal fob is crafted in sterling silver and carries clear assay marks for Birmingham, England, 1890. Maker’s mark appears as W.TT. (unattributed). 

The piece features rich, hand-worked scroll engraving across all sides with a flat bottom. 

Condition: Light wear and natural patina consistent with age. Small hole seen at one junction (see pictures). 

Paired with heavy (38.9 grams) sterling silver Albert pocket watch chain (13” long). This classic Albert link has a rich patina and an original-style T-bar and dog clip. Hallmarks on T-bar and chain link. Maker’s mark “E.P.” (unattributed).

Condition: in excellent antique condition, no crushed links. Clip is slightly gapped.

Sterling silver curb link bracelet 

Vintage Giardian cedar chest manufactured by Honderich Furniture Co. in Milverton Ontario. The front has striking veneer panels and decorative carved trim. The original “The Guardian” label is attached to the interior lid.

Originally used as a “hope chest” by the estate owner, this cedar chest has an interior aromatic cedar lining and has its original slotted cardboard lining that promotes air circulation for proper storage conditions. Hinged lid in good working order. It has a lower drawer which is 3 1/2 inches deep.

Provides an ideal way to store linen, blankets or household items.

Overall the chest is in good vintage condition and age-appropriate wear including surface scratches, finish wear, and scuffs. Lock hardware is present but key is not included. The surface scratches on top are numerous but are all shallow and this chest could easily be restored to its former glory.

to the family of Frederick Samuel Austin Connell who was killed/missing in action during the Canadian assault at Courcelette, Battle of the Somme, Sept 17, 1916. Private FSA Connell (regiment no. 123207) served in the 58th Battalion (Central Ontario), CEF, part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.

Original brooch has suspension intact. The Royal Cypher of King George V is at center with a laurel wreath and cross motif (unpolished, original patina).

A clear lucite/acrylic display block featuring embedded 1965 Canadian coinage, including a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, 50-cent piece, and dollar coin. 

Coins include Queen Elizabeth II portraits on the obverse and classic Canadian designs on the reverse: maple leaves, beaver, Bluenose schooner, caribou, and voyageur canoe.
