Cornelius David Krieghoff painted images of Canada when the development of popular imagery of the country was in its early stages. He was an entrepreneur and created a populist vision of the country’s landscape and people, describing the customs and traditions of various indigenous peoples and the activities and character of the French-Canadian settler or habitant. R H. Palenske was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was graphic artist and painter. His work is in the Library of Congress, the New York Public Library, and the Royal Gallery of London, England. During his career his work was reproduced in The Spur, the Washington Star, and the Chicago Daily News. And one unknown print Pickup category timeslot {B}
