This is a remarkable antique original oil on canvas still life painting dated February 11, 1921 and is signed by artist Peggy Muir Scott (1898-1975). Born in Airdrie, Scotland, the oldest of seven children, Peggy Muir Scott came to Canada in 1920.

With the use of well executed light, colors, and finely detailed brush strokes, this painting measures 16.0 inches by 10.0 inches unframed and is signed on the lower right corner. Framed with the original frame it measures 16 ½ inches by 23 inches.
