Consists of the following three books: 1) Cosmos (1980) by Carl Sagan is an exploration of the universe, blending science, philosophy, and humanity's quest for knowledge over 15 billion years of cosmic evolution. The book serves as both a companion book to the acclaimed PBS series "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage" and a standalone work that delves into the origins of the universe, the evolution of life, and the future of humanity. Sagan's goal is to make complex scientific concepts accessible to a broad audience, fostering curiosity and a sense of wonder about the cosmos. 2) Comet (1980) by Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan is an exploration of comets, their origins, nature, and the myths and portents associated with them. 3) Murmurs of Earth: The Voyager Interstellar Record (1978) by Carl Sagan (and others) is a detailed account of the creation and contents of the Voyager Golden Record, which was affixed to the Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977. The record includes 118 photographs of Earth, nearly 90 minutes of music from various cultures and eras, an audio essay on "The Sounds of Earth," and greetings in nearly sixty human languages, including one from humpback whales.
