Mordecai Richler (1931 - 2001) was a Canadian writer from Montreal, Quebec. He is best known for his novels set in Montreal's Jewish community; including The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz and Barney's Version. This is a lot of three books as follows: 1) Barneys Version (Winner of the 1997 Giller Prize & 1998 Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour) - Plot: An irascible, politically incorrect television producer battles fading memory and lingering murder accusations as he dictates his self-serving memoirs to set the record straight on his chaotic, booze-fueled life, his three marriages, and his enduring love for his third wife. Softcover book. 2) Joshua Then and Now - Plot: A successful, middle-aged Jewish writer from Montreal navigates a disruptive sex scandal, the sudden disappearance of his upper-class wife, and a freak accident, forcing him to reconcile his scandalous, unorthodox upbringing with his present-day unraveling life. Softcover book. 3) Belling the Cat - The book collects a career's worth of Richler's witty, sharp, and often controversial nonfiction and satirical journalism. Hardcover book. Dimensions: Varies up to 5.5 x 9 inches. Pickup category timeslot {A}
