Victorian era antique Prattware plate, 9 1/2&#34; in diameter. F. & R. Pratt Company (Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, 1818-circa 1920). After a painting: Thomas Webster R.A. (English, 1800-86). Printed mark: The Truant by T. Webster. 
Polychrome, transferware oak leaf and acorn border around a central scene, with a boy and girl, cowering by the open door to a schoolroom. Inside an elderly lady is helping a little boy learn to read, while a girl and a boy wait on the bench opposite them. A charming scene full of character and even a little black cat! Comes with hardware to hang on the wall.

Antique Highland Cows Lithograph Cattle at Loch Katrine Scotland Ezra Elmer Keene 

Lovely carving, very hefty, 6&#34; high by 3 3/4&#34; wide, by famed Inuit carver Johnny Inukpuk (1911-2007, Port Harrison / Inukjuak). Featuring a man in an Amauti doing some sort of task with a tool. As early as 1953 Johnny Inukpuk began creating highly distinctive rotund figures. His preferred themes are of mother and child, hunting, and domestic chores. In 1978, Inukpuk was made a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.

Eosin glaze is a famous, patented, iridescent metallic lustre glaze developed in the 1890s by the Hungarian Zsolnay factory, known for its rich, color-changing, and often silk-like surface. Named after the Greek goddess of dawn (Eos), it was designed to create unique, artistic, and luminous finishes for Art Nouveau and Art Deco ceramic objects.

Eosin glazing is known for being extremely difficult to reproduce, making each piece unique. The technique was famously kept secret, contributing to its high value, and it is sometimes associated with a legend that the formula is revealed during the winter solstice

Made of some kind of bendable plastic and metal. The metal is no longer shiny, its got light overall pitting. The plastic is all good, not yellowed, just needs a wash as it is dusty. As you can see the overall effect is great. Untested. Wired for Canada. The drop is 17&#34; (cord length from ceiling to top of shade). Width of shade is approx 20 inches. Height if shade is approx 15 inches.

Kosta Boda Grape Pattern Frosted Textured Glass Bowl and Matching Plates 

Book is a bit dusty but not musty. Published in 1979. Hardcover. 'Krieghoff' is the definitive study of the life and work of this important Canadian painter. Cornelius Krieghoff (1815-1872) is one of the most popular and well-known of Canadas early painters: his work was greatly appreciated in his lifetime and continues to captivate new audiences today. Krieghoffs subject matter was uniquely Canadian - French Canadian habitants, <span style"background-color: rgb(255, 193, 7);">indigenous</span>&nbsp;peoples, landscapes, people at work and play in the outdoors - but his vivid style won him supporters in the art community worldwide. The eminent art historian J. Russell Harper spent five years researching this book on two continents, trying to piece together the life story of his subject from sources that were often confusing and contradictory.
