1912 Canada 1-cent (Large) Coin This is a 1912 Canadian Large Cent, a historic copper coin featuring the reverse design of a maple leaf wreath. Produced by the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa, these "large" pennies were used until 1920, after which Canada transitioned to the smaller cent size we recognize today. Key Specifications Composition: Bronze (95.5% copper, 3% tin, 1.5% zinc). Obverse: A portrait of King George V. Reverse: The denomination "ONE CENT" and "CANADA" encircled by a maple leaf wreath. Historical Significance: 1912 was the year the phrase "DEI GRA" (By the Grace of God) returned to Canadian coinage following the controversial "Godless" 1911 series that omitted it. All information provided herein is considered accurate. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify its accurateness. As shown and as is. The pictures are part of the description.
