Up for auction is a final stunning piece from our mid-century British ironstone collection: a vintage oval serving platter in the highly desirable "Carousel" pattern. Designed by the legendary ceramicist Kathie Winkle for Broadhurst, this pattern perfectly embodies the playful, geometric pop-art influence of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Like her other highly collectible works, the design features a bold, black motif stamped underglaze by hand, with the distinctive turquoise and yellow-gold accents hand-painted before final firing.
