Known for their artistic and cultural significance, Ganjifa cards were highly detailed and often served as both game pieces and works of art. The box is crafted from paper-covered wood panels with a cinnabar-red interior and finely painted polychrome designs on all sides. Its sliding lid provides both elegance and practicality. Exterior decoration includes palace scenes, courtly processions, and hunting motifs, all executed in the vibrant miniature painting tradition of India. Inside are 98 large, round lacquered cards, each individually hand-painted with miniature scenes and bordered with fine decorative patterns.
