Powder horns are emblematic artifacts of the early modern firearms period, closely tied to military service, frontier survival, and hunting traditions. They reflect a time when personal equipment was individually crafted and essential to daily survival. Condition Very fine historic condition. Expected surface wear, abrasions, patina variation, and minor age-related imperfections consistent with use and age. Wooden and metal elements remain intact and secure. No modern alterations observed. Age (Approximate) 180–250 years old Provenance Property deaccessioned from the Old Dartmouth Historical Society, New Bedford, Massachusetts. Subsequently held in a private collection in Marion, Massachusetts, USA. Acquired by the current owner in 2025. Payment: Payment for purchases above $1,000 CAD may not be accepted by credit card. Transactions may be initially processed by credit card and subsequently reversed. In such cases, payment must be made by wire transfer or e-transfer, and full payment is required within two (2) business days.
Final Sale: All Lots are sold as is, where is. All sales are final.
Shipping: All Lots will be shipped. The Seller will arrange shipment. Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. Insurance is mandatory and must cover the full hammer price. Risk transfers to the Buyer when the Lot is released to the shipping provider.
