1965 Vintage Wedding Gown Dress

Beautiful formerly white wedding dress with straight skirt, detachable train, crochet lace detail, short sleeves and taffeta lining.  Covered buttons up the back.  This dress was professionally cleaned and stored in the fancy boxes - I removed it for discovery and photos.  It has a few small marks on the train. Comes with the headpiece as shown. 1968 Vintage Wedding Gown Dress

*see lots 44, 52-57 for all lots of silk, textiles and Saris brought back from India in early 70s as described here*.  A beautiful group of raw silks (glossy pieces) and other textiles that a Peace Corps Volunteer brought back in around 1970.  It was made in a small town outside of Bangalore called Ramanagram. There, they grew Mulberry bushes. They put the caterpillars there to feed until they were ready to be spun into cocoons. Then they wove the cocoons into raw silk. It is beautiful and very different than regular silk.  See rough measurements in photos.  SK

Signed Fini Beunis pen and ink wash

An original pen and ink wash signed by artist Fini Beunis. Beunis was born in Limburg in the Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1956 and lives in Portsmouth Virginia. She studied art at the art Academy in Holland for three years after that two years with a well-known Dutch artist, Cor Driessen, and then one year with Bakker in Amsterdam. She taught Art in Portsmouth for six years. She’s a realistic painter. Her work is mostly done in watercolor, pen, and ink washes.&nbsp; Work shows 3 x 5-1/2 in matted 9 x 11” frame.  Original art.
