1967 Canadian 1-dollar banknote (Serialized) This is a 1967 Canadian 1 commemorative banknote, issued by the Bank of Canada to celebrate the Centennial of Canadian Confederation. It is a modified version of the 1954 "Canadian Landscape" series. Key Features Portrait: Features Queen Elizabeth II on the right side, based on a photograph by Yousuf Karsh. Centennial Logo: A stylized maple leaf symbol on the left side, containing the dates 1867-1967. Signatures: Signed by J.R. Beattie (Deputy Governor) and Louis Rasminsky (Governor). Reverse Side: Depicts the original Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, which were destroyed by fire in 1916. Serial Number Variants: Serialized: Like this note, these feature standard serial numbers. Unserialized: A special version was also issued featuring the dates "1867 1967" in place of the serial numbers. All information provided herein is considered accurate.
