Seven Vintage Neck Ties & an Ascot Tie 1) Floral Pattern: Claybrooke ties from the 80's through the 90's were handmade and crafted from 100% silk. it was made in the Dominican Republic is also a specific hallmark of Claybrooke and several other American heritage brands. ---------------------------------------------- 2) Mallard Duck Print Beaufort produced this 100% silk style of tie in the 1990's. The fact that it's labeled in five languages (English, Italian, Spanish, German, and French). It was made for the international market, which was Tie Rack's specialty at its peak. ------------------------------------------------ 3) Blue & Tan Paisley Pattern The Windsor Shirt Company produced this 100% silk style of tie in the 1990's. The WPL 2831 code on the tag is a Wool Products Labeling number. ----------------------------------------------- 4) Repeating foulard, Small Paisley Motif This is a St. Michael tie, which was the house brand of the British retailer Marks & Spencer, and dates to the 1980's. It is made of silk, but is missing the tag. ------------------------------------------------ 5) Repeated Heraldic-Shield Crests That label clears it up! This is a vintage silk tie for the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD). While the design is very similar to the "club" ties made by brands like Ralph Lauren, this specific piece was likely commissioned directly for the school's faculty, alumni, or campus shop. ---------------------------------------------- 6) Paislev Burgundy & Blues This tie was made by Graham Ashley, a vintage British label that was based on Bond Street in London (specifically the W.1 district). This brand is most commonly associated with vintage designs from the 1970's & 1980's. The tie is made of 100% polyester. ----------------------------------------------- 7) Paisley Patterned Cravat or Ascot Tie Liberty of London silk scarf. This specific style of black label with the "L" logo and "Made in England" typically dates the piece to between the 1940's & 1960's Dimensions: See description for various ties.
