Richly illustrated volume, detailing the works that Munch left to the City of Oslo upon his death. Contains both black and white and colour images, all of which appear to be intact. Dust cover has some wear, but it has done its job of protecting the hardcover which is still a lovely blue. Front cover does have a bit of a dent at the bottom, likely from having been dropped or set down heavily on a book shelft, but it is minor. Binding is still tight. Pages have yellowed slightly. A vintage McCoy art pottery teapot in the &#34;Pine Cone&#34; pattern. This piece features a high-relief sculptural design of pine boughs and cones, finished in a traditional blended green and brown earth-tone glaze. In good vintage condition. Part of the on-going series of KLM/Bols Blue Delft House collection, #40 is De Rode Hoed (The Red Hat). According to the KLM app: Perhaps some of the most peculiar buildings in the Netherands arethe ones that housed the secret conventicles. What other country in the world has had anything like these hidden yet condoned churches? The little house at Keizersgracht 104, now known as 'De Rode Hoed', shows part of the former Remonstrant Church. The little red hat in the stone tablet refers to Claes Harmensz Roothoet, who owned the house in 1642. It also determined the name of the cultural centre known as De Rode Hoed that now has its office here.

Wax plug protecting Bols liquor is missing and so, I suspect, is the liquor. Otherwise, the piece is in excellent condition. Note that while this piece is not 'stamped on the bottom, it does have the number 40 stamped into the bottom and has the KLM/Bols stamp on the back.

KLM Blue Delft House #40

Nice keepsake box. Lid features a fish (a salmon?) designed by Clarence A. Wells (1950-2025). Clarence A. Wells was from the Gitxsan Clan of the Tsimshian Port Simpson Tribe. He was part of the Blackfish(killerwhale) clan. A renowned artist and carver, at age 15 Clarence won a Narional Art Design award, signed by Arthur Laing. He relocated to Vancouver in 1965 where he attended Langara for 4yrs focusing on Art. He traveled extensively, in Canada and around the world lecturing on his art and about the Haida people. He had wonderful recognition and numerous awards as Northwest Coast First Nations artist. 

The box is in very good condition. There is a chip out of the reverse side of the lid (see photos), but it does not affect use and can not be seen once the lid is on the box.

A photo transfer is created by manually transferring a photographic image onto parchment or hand made paper. The artist, a photographer for over 25 years, is originally from Montreal but now lives in Ottawa.
