Garfield meets Rockwell series of prints. "Garfield's Waltz" artists print. It is usual for artists to have only a few proofs to review before authorizing the print run. The actual number of proofs for this edition is unknown. Jim Davis, creator of the comic strip, Garfield, has created classic Garfield art with Norman Rockwell covers from The Saturday Evening Post. Adding the quirky, narcissistic character, Garfield to Rockwell's paintings makes a charmingly comedic addition to these iconic covers, adding a bit of satire to Rockwell's reflections on American history and culture. Jim Davis stated that he was always a big fan of Rockwell art. He was given the opportunity a few years back to partner with Curtis publishing and put Garfield in some of Rockwell's famous paintings. His personal favorite was a take on Rockwell's famous "Triple Self-Portrait" Garfield is so used to being the center of attention it was only natural he would hog the spotlight.
