Lot #363: Vintage Cast Iron Bundt Cake Pan

This is a vintage cast iron Turk's Head baking pan (also widely referred to as a cast iron Bundt or fluted cake pan). On the lower left side of the exterior fluting, there is a raised size or mold number marking: 23 ½ with a letter F below it. These heavy cast iron molds were highly popular from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. While several American and European foundries made fluted cake molds, the specific font style of the raised numbers, the loop handle design, and the fraction format are highly characteristic of early Griswold or Wagner Ware production, though some unmarked variations were produced by smaller regional foundries. 10” diameter.
