BEATLES - Beatles U.K. Engagement Instructions - Week of June 23, 1962 - RARE - Neil Aspinall This double sided heavy stock paper was found folded inside the jacket of a Beatles "Please Please Me" Lp Parlophone 1st Issue Black and Gold label. It is a bit of an oddity and this is something that would have been given by Brian Epstein to the group, and Neil Aspinall to organize their weekly performance schedule. Brian was keen to build the groups professional image and introduce his band to the owners of the venues across England. Getting them there on time, ready to perform was a key element. On the other side of this sheet is the English translation of the cover page of the contract signed between The Beatles and Bert Kaempfert Productions in 1961 when they were working in Hamburg. The paper is old and has two tears on it. There are crinkles and creases, stains etc. I have asked some other collectors in the UK about this and no one can provide much light on it. Timelines and venues on the sheet match actual performances in that week.P A really interesting piece of early Beatles history. Pickup category timeslot {A}
