Lot #58: EAPG Victorian Milk Glass Dresser Powder Jar Embossed Scrolls & Gold Accents, Circa 1890s

Starting bidding

$1.00

Time Remaining:

Bidding starts in 0d 2h 10m

An elegant antique Victorian-era white milk glass covered vanity box (or powder jar), dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This piece is a beautiful example of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) boudoir ware. The rectangular lidded jar features heavily embossed Art Nouveau-style scrollwork, floral flourishes, and scalloped borders. The raised designs on both the body and the lid are highlighted with their original hand-painted antique gold-gilt trim. This style of glass was a staple on Victorian ladies' dressing tables, typically used to hold cosmetic puffs, pins, jewelry, or hair receivers. Measures 5”H x 4”D Pickup category timeslot {A}
