Antique Victorian Edwardian Crocheted Ring Purse with Silver-Tone Metal Frame & Chain Charming antique late Victorian to Edwardian-era crocheted ring purse featuring an intricate openwork design formed from dozens of crochet thread-wrapped rings. The purse is crafted in a teal-blue/green textile and fitted with a unique expanding metal frame closure with ball finials and an attached chain handle. These small purses were often carried as coin purses, finger purses, or evening accessories and are highly sought after by collectors of antique fashion and textiles. The metal components are unmarked and non-magnetic, suggesting they may be pewter, silver-plated metal, or possibly unmarked silver. The sliding frame mechanism opens and closes properly, and the delicate chain remains attached.
