Lot #188685: 4 Vintage Western Electric 385/386 Telephone Jack Boxes – Oak Cases

Lot of four vintage Western Electric telephone jack boxes in original wooden cases. Western Electric labels are present on the cases and marked “Made in U.S.A.” Internal factory wiring diagrams identify the equipment as Western Electric 385/386 series jack boxes, including references to 385A/B/C and 386 series configurations. One diagram includes connections marked “TO LINE” and “CALLING SET.” Each wooden box contains original-style telephone switching/contact hardware with brass terminals, contact assemblies and wiring. Several retain their original internal wiring diagrams mounted inside the hinged covers. Includes red cloth-covered connecting cable/plugs shown in the photographs. These are vintage telephone/communications components and would be of interest to collectors of Western Electric, Bell System, telephone, telecommunications and early electrical equipment. Untested. Working condition is unknown. Boxes and components show age-related wear, scratches, dust, oxidation, staining and other signs of long-term use and storage. Some wiring/components may have been altered, repaired or replaced during their service lives. Includes all four boxes and associated cable shown. Please review photographs carefully for model markings, contents, completeness and condition. Pickup category timeslot {A}
