This antique late 19th or early 20th-century biscuit barrel was crafted by Wedgwood in England between 1891 and 1921. The porcelain jar features a deep, cobalt blue body with hand-applied white bas-relief figures depicting Greek mythology and neoclassical pastoral scenes. Original silver-plated lid and delicate metal swing handle. Excellent condition – no chips or cracks to the porcelain. The metalware shows significant, age-appropriate wear to the silver plating from historic use, resulting in a dark, authentic patina. The base is impressed with "WEDGWOOD ENGLAND" along with production numbers, and the underside of the lid is stamped "EPNS" for electroplated nickel silver. Dimensions: Barrel measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches, extending to 9 1/4 inches tall when the handle is raised Pickup category timeslot {A}
