Although printing with woodcuts has fallen out of fashion in recent years, it is the earliest form of printmaking, and a discipline that relies on the skill of the artist with their etching knife and wood-block. Through relief printmaking, the artist demonstrates his dexterity as he carves his image out of the wood or linoleum block.

These works depict society at the turn of the century.

She has been a professional painter and printmaker since 1967 and has had exhibitions throughout United States and in Europe. Her work can he found in permanent collections such as The Whitney Museum, Brooklyn Museum and the Carnegie Institute. She has taught drawing and printmaking at several universities and received an award from the National Endowment Arts. Most recently Hall was part of a group show at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City during 1995.

Interstellar Space limited edition lithograph

A Limited Edition Vintage Lithograph &#34;Interstellar Space&#34; by Susan Hall, signed and numbered (144/175).  Circa 1980. 
Excellent Condition.  Never Framed. 
Aquired by Ballet Creole in 2005 as part of a large collection of rare vintage lithographs, now available for sale for the first time!

Born and raised in California, Ms. Hall studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts and received her master&#39;s degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She has been a professional painter and printmaker since 1967 and has had exhibitions throughout United States and in Europe. Her work can he found in permanent collections such as The Whitney Museum, Brooklyn Museum and the Carnegie Institute. She has taught drawing and printmaking at several universities and received an award from the National Endowment Arts. Most recently Hall was part of a group show at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City during 1995.
