Although printing with woodcuts has fallen out of fashion in recent years, it is the earliest form of printmaking, and a discipline that relies on the skill of the artist with their etching knife and wood-block. Through relief printmaking, the artist demonstrates his dexterity as he carves his image out of the wood or linoleum block.

She has taught drawing and printmaking at several universities and received an award from the National Endowment Arts. Most recently Hall was part of a group show at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City during 1995.

A Limited Edition Vintage Serigraph &#34;The Lute Player&#34; by Amos Yaskil, signed and numbered (194/325).  Circa 1979. 
Excellent Condition.  Never Framed. 
Aquired by Ballet Creole in 2005 as part of a large collection of rare vintage lithographs, now available for sale for the first time!

Amos Yaskil was born in Haifa, Israel in 1935 to a German mother and Polish father.
At the age of 10, he began painting in a &#34;wholly adult style,&#34; recognized by the artworld as sensational. The author Arnold Zweig, having noticed his talent, interviewed Amos at length for a British newspaper. Superlatives such as &#34;the Mozart-like, wonder-child-of-painting&#34; and &#34;young genius&#34; were used repeatedly to describe the then 13 year-old Yaskil.
