Although printing with woodcuts has fallen out of fashion in recent years, it is the earliest form of printmaking, and a discipline that relies on the skill of the artist with their etching knife and wood-block. Through relief printmaking, the artist demonstrates his dexterity as he carves his image out of the wood or linoleum block.

She has taught drawing and printmaking at several universities and received an award from the National Endowment Arts. Most recently Hall was part of a group show at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City during 1995.

Christensen&#39;s work is influenced by the saturated color and painterly abstraction of the Post-Impressionist movement. It is evident from the body of work that Christiansen is a trained artist with a thorough understanding of colour and composition. The works are bright, dynamic landscapes that have a wide appeal.
