A trio of decorative, lidded wooden boxes, each showcasing distinct artisanal techniques. 1) The Grand Marquetry Writing & Keepsake Box, a substantial, rectangular wooden box featuring highly intricate, classical marquetry. The lid is adorned with a dense, symmetrical field of scrolling foliate arabesques, delicate urns, and mythical figures inlaid in a lighter contrasting wood. This central panel is framed by a cross-banded burl wood border. 15-1/2” x 11” x 5”. 2) The Micro-Mosaic Geometric Truss Box features a striking, highly detailed patterned lid reminiscent of traditional Khatam or fine micro-mosaic woodwork. The surface displays a complex, repeating diamond-lattice geometric motif packed with dense floral and star-like micro-details. 3) A Chinoiserie Lacquer Pencil box is an elegant, elongated rectangular box finished in a deep, glossy oxblood or mahogany lacquer.
