Lot #10: Ultra rare Antique Adams & Co XL Crystal Moon and Stars Covered Compote

Rare large open glass compote from the EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass) era of the late 1800s, in the popular "Moon and Stars" pattern. This pattern was produced by a few different manufacturers of the time so this piece could have been made by Adams & Co (1888), Cooperative Flint (1896) or US Glass (1898). During the EAPG era, the Moon and Stars pieces were produced only in crystal glass, but later on, of course, this same pattern would be adopted and made very famous by the LE Smith Glass Co., who produced pieces in a multitude of colors and finishes in the mid-20th century.
