Lot #11: Lot of Three Vintage Japanese Kyonishiki Embroidered Silk Art Tapestries.

Starting bidding

$1.00

Time Remaining:

Bidding starts in 0d 3h 52m

These are refined Japanese tapestries made of Kyoto Nishijin brocade, known as Kyo Nishiki. Using rich gold and silver threads with vivid colours, the textile expresses the elegance and splendour of Kyoto, inspired by its traditional festivals—Gion Matsuri, Jidai Matsuri, and Aoi Matsuri—as well as classical Heian-era aesthetics. The fabric is woven in the cultural climate of Kyoto’s Nishijin district, with the intention of bringing dignity, refinement, and timeless beauty to interior spaces. The handwritten note on the card indicates this specific piece was purchased at Asakusa Temple in Tokyo on February 19, 2004. Frame:13" x 15,5". Pickup category timeslot {A}
