Antique Royal Albert "Heirloom" 7" Tea/Side Plate – Early Crown China Mark (c. 1927-1935) – Imari Style Item Specifics Brand: Royal Albert Pattern: Heirloom (Pattern #4534) Object Type: Side Plate / Tea Plate Material: Porcelain / Fine China Diameter: 7 inches Era: Antique / Vintage (Circa 1927–1935) Country of Manufacture: United Kingdom / England Backstamp Mark: Early "Royal Albert Crown China England" underglaze print with hand-painted red gilder's mark. Full Item Description An Exceptional Early Period Collector’s Piece Up for auction is a beautiful, 7-inch tea/side plate from the historic Thomas C. Wild factory works. It features the highly sought-after Royal Albert "Heirloom" pattern. This particular piece is a genuine early antique production, proudly bearing the historic "Crown China" backstamp used strictly between 1927 and 1935. It predates the post-WWII reissues, making it a highly desirable addition for collectors focusing on early 20th-century British porcelain. Design Details:The plate showcases a classic, striking Imari-inspired palette with deep cobalt blue borders and a heavily scalloped edge. Swirling panels highlight vibrant, hand-painted floral bouquets in rust-orange, soft yellow, and sage green tones. The plate is beautifully finished with complex 22-karat gold filigree scrollwork overlays and diamond lattice accents. A handwritten red gilder’s monogram next to the backstamp authenticates its artisanal, hand-finished production history. Condition Report Please read carefully and inspect all photographs before bidding. This antique item has been loved and used, showing expected signs of age: Glaze Surface: There is noticeable glaze wear and fine utensil scratching directly over the dark interior transfer circle line in the center of the plate. Gilding: The intricate gold scroll overlays are in good condition. Mild thinning and edge-wear are visible on the solid gold scalloped rim. Porcelain Base: Excellent structural integrity. There are no chips, no cracks, and absolutely no crazing across the glaze, which is remarkable for a piece of this age Pickup is located at the intersection of Yonge St and Steeles Avenue Pickup category timeslot {A}
