Lot #303: Masayuki Miyata Portfolio of Lithograph Prints

Starting bidding

$1.00

Time Remaining:

Bidding starts in 0d 3h 9m

Masayuki Miyata (1926–1997) occupies a unique and highly respected niche in 20th-century Japanese art. While he worked in traditional print mediums like woodblocks (often under his earlier print name, Masakazu Kuwata), he is internationally celebrated as a modern master of kiri-e (the art of traditional Japanese paper-cutting). His prints are actually striking graphic translations of these intricate paper-cut originals. This commemorative remembrance portfolio contains about 39 high quality lithographs of his work, along with testimonials from notable politicians, historians, and more. A small selection is shown. Portfolio measures 14-1/2” x 10-1/2”. Prints are like-new. Bring packing material. Pickup category timeslot {A}
